1. Frock LA
This label oozes sophisticated and sexy LA style with its body-con fabrics and femme fatale silhouettes. Designer Victoria Tik creates timeless and feminine pieces that are made from sustainably sourced fabrics right in downtown L.A.
2. Groceries Apparel
All of Groceries’ garments are made from either 100 percent recycled or organic fabrics, embellishments and detailing. Their collection of made in LA multi-colored basics echoes that of American Apparel, but with a much more sustainable and responsible approach to sourcing and manufacturing.
Linden is a newer eco-friendly Los Angeles label, founded in 2010 by designer Jennifer Lynn. All of these seductive and sassy collections are handmade in downtown LA in small runs, ensuring the highest quality limited items.
Loomstate has become one of the first Made in the USA labels to use only 100 percent organic cotton in all of their collections. The label is committed to sourcing the best sustainably grown cotton available, alongside recycled fibers for their collections of men’s and women’s basics.
5. Matrushka Construction
Made from re-purposed and upcycled materials, all Matrushka Construction items are made by hand at the Silverlake store and workshop in LA. Designer Laura Howe believes in local and sustainable, going by the motto “fashion for the people”.
PERI stands for ‘Pure Eco Rag Industry’, and was founded by a former design manager of American Apparel and Junkfood Clothing. PERI offers a collection of southern California inspired garments made in LA from organic or recycled materials, and dyed in a solar powered, low-impact dye house.

The Reformation is probably the coolest and freshest label that recycles vintage and surplus fabrics in the US right now, and their awesome, right on-trend collections show you just why. All Reformation collections are made in their NY or LA studios, and sold directly through their stores or online shop.
8. Claire Vivier
Claire Vivier’s hand crafted leather bags embody the effortless glamour of French style with minimalist L.A. cool. All of her bags are made from the finest materials locally in LA, and sold at her Silverlake boutique alongside retailers worldwide.
9. MINK Shoes
Founded in 2004 by designer Rebecca Mink, MINK Shoes has been offering up the chicest vegan shoes that ooze L.A. style. Each shoe style is cleverly named after an animal, and made from organic and recyclable materials in a family-owned workshop in Italy.
10. org by Vio
This collection of gorgeous, bohemian jewelry is made by indigenous artisan collectives dwelling in the Amazon. All items are made from native rainforest materials, and their production helps create sustainable economies that protect the rainforests and their communities.
