Got 5 Minutes? Make Your Own Eco Laundry Detergent

-

Just because you made the decision to switch to eco-friendly household products doesn’t necessarily mean that you have to dole out the cash for a whole new range of products. You can make many cleaners yourself with basics from around your home, without ever stepping foot outside your door. With the easy steps below, you’ll discover that it doesn’t require complex chemistry to create powdered laundry detergent.

Retrieve a bar of eco-friendly soap from beneath your sink (like vegetable oil; make sure it isn’t antibacterial) and grate it into an empty container. Mix in ½ cup of borax and ½ cup of baking soda, and you’re done! Now, aren’t you glad you didn’t run to the store?
