Amy Butler Bucharest Bedding Give-Away

buch

We have long sung the praises of Midwestern textile designer, Amy Butler, who introduced an exotic, Indian-inspired organic bedding collection of five designs this year. She even rolled out rugs to match!

The lovely and much needed bedding (still can’t find organic in many of my favorite haunts) includes 400-thread count sheeting, elegant embroidery and paisley flourishes woven without harmful dyes.

Among my faves is the Bucharest motif (above) with patterns found in Romanian embroidery and the flourishes of formal gardens. While modern and bold, the charcoal gray and ivory palette imbues the collection with understated warmth. The duvet would be at home in many environments – perhaps even yours.

Leave a comment here and you could be sleeping in the bedding soon as part of our decor give-away.

I would even repaint my master boudoir gray to complement this lovely duvet. Hey, that rhymes! Lemon yellow would work well as a backdrop, too, don’t you think?

Wow. All I can say is that encountering bedding so sumptuous & beautiful that just one look at it makes me know with absolute certainty that I would even dream better dreams whilst wrapped in it means it is really, really, really out of the world beautiful.

i love the grey: i’m going for a slightly industrial 1980s look in our new bedroom (I can’t say new anymore, we bought the flat last year!) lots of greys, black and red all pulled together with an art deco poster for a train service my dad bought YEARS ago. This bed linen would be lovely as it would soften the industrial look slightly whilst still tying it all together. Perfect!

Love the neutral colors and bold designs. Very classy. You’d be able to accent the room in the color of your liking to add to the elegance.

Oh man, finding organic bedding is really hard. So far I have sheets, matress pad and duvet, but am still in search of the perfect cover. This is really stylish, better than a lot of the bland neutrals I’ve found.

I am in love! I am a long time lover of Amy Butler Designs… I had no idea that she was making bedding- and it is organic! Double bonus. Since our new baby ends up in bed with us most nights, I have been wanting to make the switch to entirely organic bedding. As a new mamma, I spend more time with our bedding than anything else in the house!

    Thanks for the give-away!

i’ve been looking for this bedding everywhere and its all so expensive!! im living in my sisters old room now and it has been the same decration for at least 5 years. i really want to do soemthing with this room that could make it my own but i have a budget and i really dont have a penny to spend more than i want. the only store i could find with the right prices are sold out until spring 2010. i wanna buy myelf a new queen bed becuase i am growing out of my twin size one and my parents told me if i want to redo my room, i have to pay for it all myself. so if there were nyway i could get one of the sets in queen for free it would be a life saver. im always living in my sisters shadow and living in her type of room doesn help me to be my own person.

Since the first time I saw her new Bucharest collection I have been constantly dreaming about it. Its so modern and fresh but still has that exotic twist that I’ve been vehemently searching for. I find my self already buying teal and crystal accessories to go with it even though I haven’t even bought it yet! I can’t wait to paint my room a light blue and buy this great vintage chic chandelier that I’ve been drooling over to complete my peaceful retreat. :)
