When I was in elementary school, my classmates and I would ring in Earth Day with eco-friendly activities like collecting garbage around my hometown. Now that I’m older, I strive to make smart green choices each day, but when April 22 rolls around (tomorrow!), I usually fail to step it up an eco notch. Just wearing green? Not so green.
Therefore this year, I plan to do something that actually makes a difference – whether it’s volunteering for a local environmental organization, or convincing my friends and family to unplug their electronics for the day. Thankfully with free apps like Billion Acts of Green, I can turn to my handy iPhone for easy access to local Earth Day events. Not only that, but I can make a green pledge, share it with others and view other people’s pledges from my area as well.
And forget just putting the app to use on Earth Day – why not vow to make a pledge everyday and spread the eco love?
