I generally like to put together a homemade version of apple cider, but you could very well just pick some up at the grocery store to make your life a whole lot easier. Be cautious of the sugar content of any apple cider you snatch off the shelves. There are plenty of sugar-free varieties out there. With that said, if you want the slushie recipe to taste a tad sweeter, add in the desired amount of stevia or maple syrup.
Apple Cider Slushie Recipe
- 2 cups apple cider
- 3 cups ice
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoon ground clove
- 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- Dash of salt
- Cinnamon stick for garnish
Blend all of the ingredients in a high-speed blender until the ice turns to slush. You may have to stop the blender to stir the mixture with a spatula and rearrange the ice for better blending.
Serve in glasses with a cinnamon stick as garnish. Enjoy!
