Plant One on Him

This Valentine's Day (all right, every day) how about planting one on your sweetie with an earth-friendly botanical lipstick? I admit, that doesn't sound very romantic (let's face it, renewable energy and environmentalism are anything but romantic). Nevertheless, Cargo PlantLove lipstick manages to sweetly combine romance and green living to make a difference.

The kitschy compostable lipstick tube is made from corn - a renewable resource that is believed to reduce green-house gases, thereby helping to prevent global warming. PlantLove takes it one step further by packaging their lipstick in paper embedded with wildflower seeds so you can also plant one on your lady friend, Mother Nature.

Choose from 20 different shades including 10 sheer colors designed by celebrities. I have to go with the "Sarah", a shimmering pink by actress Sarah Chalke who stars in one of my favorite shows, Scrubs.

On top of all of this good news, $2 from every lipstick purchase goes towards St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. This is one kiss that may actually change the world. Lipsticks are $20 each.
