Spend It Like Beckham
Perhaps you’ve run out of quirky eco handbags to impress your fashion-forward fans. If the goal is to look tres sporty, you will score major points with this reclaimed soccer ball tote from Branch Home, $198.
Each purse is one-of-a-kind, featuring an inside out ball with a pocket for storing your phone (made from old truck tarp) and actual markings along the lining from the original owner.
If it had belonged to my own daughter (a forward for the U-12 Bluejays) the original markings would include mascara stains from tears shed after those heartbreaking lost games. They call my kid “the finisher” cause she gives it her all till the end. I’d buy this purse to reward her for all of her hard-fought matches, but honestly – not even this crazed soccer mom would spend $200 on a purse for a 12-year-old. Hey, I’m not Victoria Beckham! I kick it old school.

$200 for a used inside-out soccer ball? Sheer insanity!

And it’s ugly too!

Yes, I would have to say that there are better uses for old soccer balls. For example, they are desperately needed in third world countries where kids play with other objects (i.e. fruit) when they don’t receive soccer ball donations.
