Well, It is the end of April (4/28) and it was just announced that our snowpackis 130% of normal, AND we are in the midst of a spring storm, AND..more snow and rain are expected next week, the first week of May.
So, is the Governator and his hugely paid staff of water experts going to re-vamp their dire predictions, or...do we just wait until Oroville, Shasta, and other reservoirs are nearly full. By then we can make up our own minds. I have three homes that I worry about (San Diego, Los Angeles, and Lake Almanor), and I made a personal commitment and investment in the water systems for those three properties. 'Conserving' doesn't begin to describe what pains my family and I have taken to manage these properties regarding energy and water....they are as efficient as homes can be, at this point.
I am at the point where I just don't trust the lawmakers in Sacramento...sorry, I just don't believe they are telling us the truth. Water is our lifeblood, and it seems like groundwater supplies are nearing full, and reservoirs will be nearing full by the end of May. That should mean the drought is close to over, right? When does the sky fall, Governor?
