Cherries. Their season is so fleeting, which makes them all the more special and worthy of poetry. In honor of cherries – soon to disappear from the markets near here – I offer a trio of cherry recipes to be sure you eat your fill.

Cherry Clafoutis is a classic cake-custard hybrid that can be made with any fruit, but cherries are classic. This one from The Dinner Files looks like a winner.
