How Healthy Is Your Office Space?

The other day while I was sitting at my desk surrounded by my printer, my scanner and my computer, with air conditioning blowing down on me, I started to wonder how toxic all of these peripherals might be and if there was anything I might do about improving conditions.

A quick search on improving the air quality in the office environment led me to Ionic Salts and their Salt Crystal Lamps.  Salt lamps release negative ions into the environment which counteract the positive ions released by electricity, thereby producing an oxygen rich, balanced and improved indoor air quality. The salt crystals also reduce moisture in a room which prevents bacteria and molds from forming and thus helps keep allergies and respiratory problems at bay.

I decided I needed to have one of these Salt Lamps and fortunately I have some options, like this beautiful Himalayan Salt Lamp (and corporate sponsor Viva Terra sells the above-pictured version for $49).  Ionic Salts sells them in many shapes, colors and sizes. The larger the lamp the larger the area it will help to purify.
