Prairie Home Companion

I'm a sucker for white gliders, a wanna-be Ann Lamott style novelist who dreams of slow summer nights sipping lemonade on my wrap-around porch, sharing excerpts of finished chapters with my husband and daughters.

The chapters may be off schedule, but I have found the outdoor bench of my green dreams, the Prairie Glider from Green Culture (around $565 in colored finishes). It has great Mission-style construction with its slatted wooden back and extra-wide contoured seat. Made of select Brazilian cherry in white, green or black (or unfinished if you prefer) it's easy to assemble and promises a smooth glide.
