When I wrote this post in January, I admit, I was not much of a makeup wearer. That's because typical makeup has always bothered my skin. But recently, a very holistic aesthetician friend gave me a few mineral shimmers to try out. The brands she gave me are ID BareMinerals and Jane Iredale. I have been able to wear the stuff for hours, even the whole day, without any problems or even the slightest bit of annoyance on my skin. My trick is to always apply a light mineral base (Jane Iredale is what I use right now) first (even on my eyelids) and then apply the colored shimmers. I also keep it really light -- no heavy layering. Anybody else have good or bad stories about mineral makeup?
