Since 1991 Motherboard has been creating functional products from obsolete and used circuit boards that have been rescued from TV sets, audio components, telephones and computers. They estimate they use 25,000 to 30,000 pounds of circuit boards bound for landfills each year. These coasters are edged in plastic to prevent scratches and those pesky rings-around-the table.
