I love the idea of getting a little ping every time a friend rode by. It could turn riding through your city into one giant Burning Man extravaganza! I mean, you'd be able to stop and have a chat anywhere, anytime. This is the future of transportation, and I love it. Please, quickly banish the social isolation of cars!!

It's worth pointing out that when you refer to 'cyclists in Copenhagen' you are virtually referring to 'everyone in Copenhagen'. It really is a city that is designed for the bicycle. The bike lanes are between the parked cars and the sidewalk so you don't have to deal with traffic most of the time and they have bike lanes around roundabouts. It's also naturally very flat. Cycling is so ubiquitous in Copenhagen that there are literally more bikes than cars on the roads or even more bikes than people (since people often have more than one). And because everyone cycles, every driver is also a cyclist and therefore very respectful and careful of bike traffic.
