We want to include a steamer, but our concern is the number of KWs the steam unit draws. The water is already preheated before coming into the shower, but won't the steamer still draw the same amount of KW's to produce steam? The home we are building is solar with a back-up generator. I've been looking for a way to conserve energy. I did see somewhere that you can hook up solar power to heat your water. My steam shower is just like yours Shep, but it's the model 96 Rainforest. It integrates the heater for the whirlpool tub with the steam generator so that it is more efficient that way as well. That’s great Shep! I’ve been looking for a way to conserve energy.
