It's About Time

-

It’s never too late to go green, as evidenced in the cool selection of eco clocks hanging on walls and placed on nightstands. You cannot believe some of the quirky materials being used to design these timepieces.

No one is more inventive than Imotime at the Etsy Shop, an example of recycing gone mad by way of thrift shop itmes reinvented as clocks. This designer stops at nothing, from colanders to leather purses, all embellished with big and little hands to keep us on schedule.

More groovy is the mandala design wall clock made from upcycled 12" vinyl LP’s, $60 at Peaceful Valley Greetings. Just as inventive are the various models forged from old bike chains at "Natural Territory."

Several  sites are peddling alarm clocks that run on water rather than batteries, such as the one I found at  My Eco Store. And while the Eco Flag wall ($13.99) clock from Psychomycle isn’t actually made of green materials, it does feature the green eco flag, a reminder it’s time to get into the act.
