London Fashion Week Spring 2011: Prophetik Rocks My World

-

The crowd sipped away on white wine while comfortably resting their high heeled stilettos on the grass runway, awaiting the start of the Prophetik runway show. It commenced with ethereal music sounding over the speakers and then switched to a lively bluegrass melody. The stage for a wonderfully creative, romantic and fantastical show and collection entitled Midnight Garden was set!

This may be a bold statement, but I am prepared to back it up. The Prophetik show was one of the best I’ve ever attended. Yep, I proudly proclaim that the balance of creative expression incorporating a constant thread without being overdone was achieved, and I must say, very well received.

Designer Jeff Garner (above, right) shared his vision of a romantic nymph-like collection with his captivated audience at the Vauxhall Fashion Scout during London Fashion Week. His commitment to design through the use of organic and recycled materials as well as producing truly vibrant colors with natural dying processes have put him in the limelight as a sustainable designer to watch.
