How long I have lusted for a classic hat stand like this. And here it is in all its simple simplicity. That it’s made from locally coppiced hazel – harvested by hand, might I add – is the icing on the top hat. Coppicing, designer Benjamin Rollins Caldwell explains, is a woodland management method that provides a renewable supply of wood.
