With a helpful suggestion from a charitable soul and Margaret Devadson’s dedication to the people of India, the small artisan group of Ashirad was born. At this time, Devadson, part of the Mennonite Central Committee, once received a reply to a Christmas card that had been sent to one of their sponsors. They proposed the idea of forming a group to hand sew tree decorations, and Devadson wasted no time in breathing life into this brilliant plan.
