Meadow’s Intention Necklace Giveaway

-

Meadow Compton-Gerrish is a beautiful designer inside and out, living in Costa Rica on an organic farm in an architecturally pleasing tree house. The company is currently working on making their organic farm into a welcoming spot for tourists wanting an altogether different vacation experience (read: pleasant dreams in cabanas and riding horses into the quaint village of Pavones).

A wife and mother of two, Meadow, whose eponymous line embodies the spirit of seaside sexy, says:

“i am meadow.

i am natural. organic. eco chic. … a nomad part time in the concrete jungle….and part time in the real jungle.”

For years, as a designer based out of a concrete jungle (Miami), she worked on her line and was inspired by the sultry Floridian lifestyle – until her move to the real jungle of Costa Rica, where her inspiration became more spiritual.

While one can’t help love Meadow’s story, one also cannot help but love her small collection of sexy bikinis, off the shoulder tops, flattering yoga style pants and, now, jewelry with intent.

All the jewelry is made by hand with 24 kt gold plated sterling silver charms resting on 100% hand sewn and hand dyed silk.
Meadow says: “Let this charm be a reminder of your intention. When it breaks, hopefully you manifested your intention.”

The intentions are many and if you win dear friend, you can choose whichever fits you best. Just leave a comment below on one of these you’d like and why you’d choose it if you did win.

Good luck!

I like the intensions heart of gold because it reminds me that there is always good in people. I love the Earth and together we can keep it clean and safe. There is only one Earth and it is our home.

I would choose the “he loves me” intention. My husband and I separated three years ago due to some awful problems. Though his original intent was not to return, he changed his mind, and has spent the last three years taking steps to improve himself to be a better husband, companion, and friend. I, too, have been working on myself, and together, we’ve been working on communication, trust, and learning to live together. We’ve been living together again for a year, and it is better than it ever was before because he does something to show his love every day, and so do I.

I would choose the “spread your wings” one because it’s so important to me to remember all that there is to see and do and experience in this world and to not be afraid of trying new things, no matter how scary it can seem. I think it’s something we all should try to remember. We can’t let fear hold us back.

I like the lotus – it reminds me to be balanced, calm, at one. Sort of yogic, if that makes sense.

I would pick the “Silk Intentions…Set Me Free” necklace. Life is full of so much stress, but this eco-friendly necklace would remind me of how to be as “free as a bird,” so to speak. And when you have achieved your goal, and the necklace comes off, you would be rid of stress. I think its pretty poetic and an excellent idea for jewelery.

I would select the ‘silk intentions…. spread your wings’ because it would remind me to be spontaneous each day and try something new like planting a herb garden in my backyard instead of going to the store all the time. If I win this necklace would be a great way to remind myself everyday to become more eco-friendly and more unpredictable when it comes to life’s choices.

I would pick the , “Silk Intentions – Set Me Free” charm because I am in a constant battle to overcome extended trauma injuries from a severe accident. I would wear this beautiful charm as a reminder that though my physical body may be limited, my mind and spirit can be free.

I would choose the silk intentions happy buddha. I have been constantly trying to keep my thoughts and words positive and this little charm would help me remember to keep them focused on that goal. I have found that when I feel down or angry with someone that instead of turning my anger inwards and dwelling on it that when I start noting the more positive aspects of people/myself or try to be more understanding and compassionate that life and my daily routine are lighter and less stress filled and the good in my life comes more easily and readily.

If I won, I’d pick the Hamsa charm. The Hamsa symbolizes protection, and it’s known to draw positive energy! I strive to be as positive as I can at all times, but when I’m down and out, this charm just might work wonders!

To Love You is the intention I wake up with everyday, in my heart and in my mind and maybe one day soon on my wrist. I wake up promising to love the ones around me, to love the environment in which I live, and also to love me. I am a firm believe in the idea that love conquers all and that the one thing everyone has in common is the ability to love and be loved. Try to find something to love in everyone and everything around you and this world will be a beautiful place.
