Flirting for the Earth

Even Mother Nature likes to get a little bit flirty.

Designer Lav & Kush tout themselves the "flirt of sustainable fashion".

In Hindu mythology, Lav and Kush are the protectors of the forest. Lav & Kush designers do their part through a 100% sustainable textile line of soy and bamboo, with an emphasis on yarn quality and sheer, curve-hugging drape. The collections are femininity embodied and true to their motto of "confident and coy". All the looks are beautiful in their lush celebration of the female form, but don't miss this dark floral number.

A bit of an indulgence, the lines often involve plunging necklines and youthful asymmetrical suprises.

Other pieces are classic, and yes, coy. We're eager to see their inagural Fall line!

Practical Flats for Growing Girls

ragazzivegan shoes
If my 12-year-old's feet get any bigger we'll have to shop at stores for transvestites. The drawback is we don't want kinky boots or stilettos for middle school. When your little one has big feet (size 10 and growing) it can be hard to find comfortable shoes with low heels for dress and school.

That's why I'm glad I found ...Read More

We’re all guilty of owning a t-shirt that’s seen better days. So soft, worn to perfection – it’s hard to part with such a time-tested staple. But sometimes, enough is enough and you just have to let go.

When I say let go, I certainly don’t mean throw away. It’s just time to revisit your favorite tee’s form and function. ...Read More

Fall Color Trend: Purple

purple fashion collage
Eggplant, aubergine, plum, violet, mulberry – any way you slice it, purple is the hot color for fall. This is not your color-sucking pale lavender circa 1987 purple. We're talking rich, deep hues.
