Another trick: buy thick cotton or microfiber socks, slather gobs of your moisturizer of choice, and carefully pull the socks over your frosted feet. Sleep with them on overnight. With all the lotion contained in your socks, it's not the most luxurious feeling but it's worth it. You'll have the softest feet imaginable come morning.

Yup that sounds right. When I was in Mexico, I got a terrible, painful case of cracked heels. I was told I first needed to soften the skin with shea butter, and then use a pumice stone to scrub that skin away. I did it for days, sleeping with shea-buttered socks at night, and finally my feet were normal again. Of course, I didn't mind having some thick skin, because it helps for walking barefoot on the hot sand!!
