Windy Hill Fibers Scarf Giveaway

Christine Vivian of Windy Hill Fibers is not only one of our most dear EcoSalon readers, she’s also a designer.
Thanks to Christine, we’ve got a beautiful hand-knitted scarf with naturally colored, 100% alpaca yarn in black and silver gray, edged with a fuchsia mohair yarn, just for you.
This scarf is so soft you’ll be dreaming of Andean hills and making happy humming sounds as if possessed by an alpaca spirit.
Christine says: “The scarf does seem to literally turn heads. Every time I wear mine, women are checking it out or asking me about it. Maybe it should come with a warning.”
We’ll see, Miss Vivian, and will make sure the lucky winner gives us feedback to verify if you’re right. Leave a comment below for the chance to win.

Love, love, LOVE this scarf. The purple is amazing how it jumps out. And the fact that it utilizes alpaca yarn is a huge selling point for me. I was honestly expecting it to be more than $65 but it’s refreshing to see an affordable price point for a sustainable product. Thank you!

Beautiful scarf.
January 19th, 2010 at 10:15 AM
As a knitter myself, I can see how much work went into this! I’ve never knit with Alpaca before but have been told I can save my Samoyed’s fur and have it spun to knit with for the same feel. This scarf is STUNNING and I’d be thrilled beyond belief if I won – also purple is my favorite color!
January 19th, 2010 at 1:05 PM
Now that’s something gorgeous! It looks lovely and luxurious.
January 19th, 2010 at 2:17 PM

I really love the texture this scarf seems to have, I own horses so I can dream I’ riding my horse while wearing my scarf , but I won’t really because I would not want to wreck my new scarf, but I can sure imagine myself wearing it sitting on the ski slopes just relaxing because I do not ski, hehehe. Just looking great.!!
I’m telling you this designer is great , dear god I wish I could knit this way.
I hope I win. Thanks for this opportunity, BTW I just fell upon your site and it is wonderful.
