"Instead of writing down your grocery list and wasting paper, record a voice memo."
How do you easily listen to that while shopping? ...Fast-forward...rewind...fastforward...dang did i have to get eggs again?...fast forward...oh well ill skip them

"Look up directions to a vegan restaurant and treat one of your pals to her first taste of tofu."
Thats not being "green"...thats being a vegan...

"Shoot a short how-to video of an eco-friendly project and post it on the web."
How do you record video on a non-jailbroken iPhone and iPhone 3g?

"Take a photo of Mother Nature's handiwork and share it with your family."
That isn't being green...thats wasting electricity. Huge amounts of it too...think about the huge energy draw from the cell towers and when your family member logs in...definatly not "green"

"E-mail these 10 Simple Steps to Sustainability to your friends."
Read my thing above...youre still using energy to email it...and read it...

"Use the compass to navigate on a hike."
Go old-school and use a boy scouts one :P
They dont use any electricity and theyre cheap...

"Check the weekly weather forecast and pick a sunny day to clean up litter at your local park."
I dont know about you, but here in NJ, the weatherman can never seem to get the weather straight...plus if i got this right, there shouldnt be any since laws dont allow littering...

"Use the calculator to determine your carbon footprint."
Use a stick and dirt...its more eco-friendly...

"Find a farmers market near you by searching Local Harvest online."
I would think driving 1 minute to a local supermart is better than driving 20 minutes to find a farmers market (who probably trucks their stuff there in a ineffecient pickup anyways)

"Call your friends and tell them about EcoSalon, of course!"
This too takes huge amounts of power...
