@Bill Please don’t do that – with 7 billion of us on the planet, it would accomplish nothing and only make your friends and family sad. Far better to dedicate yourself to making the world better so that you not only offset your own consumption but help balance it. Humans are not inherently bad, there are just too many of us and we are living in an unsustainable way. That can change.

Your comments on each image was so disheartening to me that I want to kill myself to save the earth. It is the only way to make it better. The only way to fix it. We are cockroaches infesting what would otherwise be a beautiful planet.

So sad…I just returned from Rocky Mountain National Park, where the pine trees are infested with a beetle epidemic. Huge swaths of dead trees can clearly be seen throughout the park. It’s said that in 5 years virtually all of Colorado’s Lodgepole pines will be dead from the infestation, which has become much worse due to warming weather and drought. Millions and millions of trees gone and likely horrible fires. Expect a post soon.

Wow, this is shocking. I thought Monteverde was protected. Who is doing the logging there? Also didn’t know about the Dead Sea. We will all be devastated when the only attractions left are at Disneyland.

My wife and I want to climb Kilimanjaro. It has been an ambition for quite a while. Nice post with great photos. This is an excellent site.
