I agree. When I first moved to the Bay Area I was introduced to the notion that friends can gather in the kitchen and help you cook. My husband had worked in Mark Miller’s restaurants with his friends in Berkeley – and that’s how they rolled. They all pitched in and prepared the meal together. It makes it easier to let your hair down when entertaining!
