As they are really world known place for getting higher luxurious experiences. But the history of these existing hotels are really interesting. I really like Liberty hotel of Boston city. And it’s interesting history is too cool.

In college my favorite ice cream shop used to be a bank – you could eat your cookies & cream in a room that used to be the vault!

There are several wonderful hotels in Oregon (Portland and Eugene) that used to be public schools, run by the super-creative McMenamin brothers. I haven’t stayed in one, as they’ve been full every time I’ve tried, but they sound amazing!!!
