Thanks for a very helpful article. I spent years trying so-called natural deodorants which either did not work or caused skin irritations, itching or burning. Finally, I discovered Thai Crystal, a simple deodorant made with mineral salts, filtered water and natural cotton cellulose. It contains no aluminimum chlorhydrates or other toxic ingredients. This product works very effectively and does not cause me to develop nasty rashes or irritations.

Everyone has different body chemistry, but by far the best “natural” deodorant that I have used for controlling both wetness and odor (and I tried a number) is Earth Science “liken plant unscented”. Please note that it is the UNSCENTED that is the superior product. The scented versions of the same brand have different formulations and do not compare. I buy it at Whole Foods. It is probably available at similar stores.

it’s so true. i bought the Tom’s of maine in an effort to rid myself of my addiction to my fav. deodorant and HATED IT. i never smelled so bad LOL
