@Lisa It's still dark chocolate above 30% cocoa - there's sweet dark, semi-sweet and bittersweet. http://candy.about.com/od/candyglossary/g/def_darkchoc.htm It doesn't have to be loaded with junk at 35% - other legitimate ingredients include cacao butter, sugar and often soy lecithin. However, I would agree that the darker chocolates are likely to be purer in general so it's not a bad idea to aim for a higher cocoa content, as you suggest.

I'm not sure the type of salt truly matters - it's chemically the same substance, though maybe coarser grains would give you a better exfoliation job. I'd use whatever salt you have at home already.

Also, the post says to use organic milk. As far as I'm aware, there are no growth hormones in organic milk.

wrong wrong and wrong..35% cocoa,,where do you get your facts..real raw cocao, sure, which is 100% cocoa ..salt-be more specific as table salt will defiet the mission -milk..again be more specific as you don't want added growth hormones and such being absorbed into your skin..The 35% chocolate is garbage chocolate you don't want in or on your body..read the ingredients in that candy bar. Use a good quality chocolate if proceeeding with at least 85% real cocoa..very dark and very bitter..most likely made not in the USA..
