		<description><![CDATA[I don&#039;t think this article is really addressing &quot;losing your edge&quot;.  It seems you&#039;re more preoccupied with losing your youthful hipness.  Losing your edge would be becoming more risk adverse, i.e. not buying that motorcycle, going skydiving, drinking too much, etc.  

As far as youthful hipness, it&#039;s overrated in today&#039;s culture anyway.  As I get older, my tastes evolve.  I couldn&#039;t care less what a bunch of early twenty-somethings make of me.  

Finally, good music is good music regardless of its age.  This &quot;hipster&quot; notion of only appreciating the &quot;bleeding edge&quot; of music and discarding anything too popular or too old highlights the superficiality of their &quot;art appreciation&quot;.  Yes, most mainstream music is recycled derivative garbage, but certainly not all.

It&#039;s all cyclical anyway.  Just because the guy at the record store approves of S&#038;G today, doesn&#039;t mean he won&#039;t judge you tomorrow.   

p.s. I am losing my edge (as I&#039;ve defined it) and would like to get it back.  I&#039;m bored.]]></description>
