Kingsolver’s such an accessible and vivid writer, too. I think anyone who reads it will fantasize about having their own plot of land and harvesting from it.

I listened to the Audiobook, which I recommend, because Barbara, her husband and her daughter all do the reading.

Listening to their tales of abundant squash and juicy, ripe tomatoes really whet my appetite… I was salivating through much of the book! Very inspiring!
