Caitlin – I, too, am a renter. I feel your pain. My husband wants to buy a home for investment purposes and equity (blah, blah). Confession: I just want to paint! I will still be skipping indigo, but I will indulge you with a post on white, one on black, and maybe even one on neutrals. In case you’re curious, the emotional connotations of indigo are nearly the same as blue, except with a dash of drama from the violet component.

Sara – I would like to move into your ‘old’ bedroom stat.

Yeah, me too. I’ve never been that into interior design but this is inspiring. I wish I owned my own home – I’m not into the idea of repainting a rental.

Amazing pictures – love this series so much, Leigha! Each post makes me want to redo my entire apartment. I once had a bedroom that was gray and a beautiful violet shade called “silverberry” with hints of gold and silver. I accented with mirrored nightstands, silvery gray drapes and brown striped glass lamps. The walls that weren’t violet I covered with Ralph Lauren’s warm golden pearlescent paint over eggshell. It was so feminine and alluring. Now I miss that bedroom!
