Good rant Sara! Yes, I have to admit I love to see Viv’s little Remy (mini pincher) come to work in his button-down shirt and sweater (it is hiliarious!) but I know he doesn’t have a closet full of clothes – maybe just 2 or 3 good outfits and she buys them on-sale! He is a dog after all! I just say maybe we are lucky these people are putting all their energy into their pets and not into children…can you imagine the little demons they would raise?

LOL. Excellent… of course my Great Danes can borrow my clothes – we’re almost the same size, but I think they’d rather have a nice beef bone 🙂

I’m a dog-lover myself. (It’s biologically determined: I’m allergic to cats). And I understand wanting to spend huge amounts of time and care and attention with pets, because that’s the only currency they understand and appreciate. Well, ok, that and food. And things to chase after. And chew.

Buying expensive clothes and “possessions” for pets makes me squirm. I agree, it’s another way of buying Stuff, but hiding it from yourself because it’s technically “not for you”.
