And Chinese manufacturers met the needs demanded by these homeowners and mortgage lenders. They’re still buying the product and installing it, too, which means that even if a Chinese manufacturer created a defective product, it’s not stopping Americans today from buying it for cheap over a non-defective product and putting it in people’s homes just to make a quick buck. So, sure, blame China for everything, but it’s also the Americans’ fault for building cheap houses in the first place.
