		<description><![CDATA[An interesting piece. I worry a lot about the impact of these devices, especially since I can&#039;t seem to do without a new computer every several years. I&#039;m a Mac user and am always interested in recycling the components when I move on/up, but how many others do this?  There is a guy in my town who uses old parts to build new computers but there is a limit to how much can be re-used and I suppose what remains is either put on a ship to China or is piling up somewhere, heavy metals leaching into the groundwater of someone elses back yard.  Programs that made it easy and obvious to recycle electronics so are a good goal for Apple and others.  And using less evil materials in the first place is much appreciated.  Onward and upward, all of us! (hopefully without a greenwash).  Thanks for the post Lora Kolodny!]]></description>
