I love the way they can be used to test out low-impact building ideas, and the fact that they don’t tend to include things like running water or air conditioning mean that they don’t have an added footprint. On the other hand, single-use structures are so easily made on the cheap and easy, so I really applaud the organizers for using their infrastructure to inspire ecological thinking.
