Recycled synthetic fibers deserve their second chance. We cannot change what was done in the past, but we should extend the life of the materials that are already in the system and keep them out of land fills. Recycled fibers can have a smaller energy footprint than new organics. I love organic fabrics too. I try to keep a balanced approach using every sustainable material available.
