Hello- I enjoyed your blog a great deal- the pictures of the difference between the old liner and the new make it readily easy to figure out which bottles in my sigg collection i needed to send back last fall-

I have had 1 sigg bottle where the new eco care liner was peeling off, the mysigg site shows where they will stand behind their product and replace, free of charge any bottle issues like this-

I love my sigg! consider giving them a break and purchase one now that they have atoned for their BPA issues-

I Got a new 18/8 food-grade stainless steel 100% BPA-free hydration bottle from Koozio. It’s great & it has no odors, no leaks & no roll-out edges. Very eco-friendly. I didn’t want to worry about aluminum or plastic. What if they lie again ? How do we know for sure ? The tests that they base these studies on are flawed & only test at per billion, yet all the the top scientists are testing per trillion. come on people wake up. The FDA is relying on the flawed tests as well , because their pockets are being stuffed with cash. We must lookout for ourselves & be mindful that when money is at stake, people bend the rules”¦

I had a SIGG bottle for many years. Before using it I researched its construction on their website. Knowing aluminum is potentially unhealthy I wanted to understand how they addressed the issue. As I remember they said their coating was baked on and would not chip even if the bottle was dented. The fact that it was baked on, or the like, meant to me that it wasn’t plastic of any sort. And there was no mention that the liner was plastic. Had I realized I would have never used the bottle. I feel that SIGG definitely misled the consumer. Last year while volunteering at Slow Food Nation in San Francisco I discovered Klean Kanteen’s http://www.KleanKanteen.com stainless steel bottle and stainless steel (inside) top. That’s all I’ve used and given as gifts since.
