This is of utmost importance for biz... in fact, when a company claims greenness / natural-ness / whathaveyou, and then its product doesn't follow those guidelines, I boycott the brand.

My rule (after learning the hard way): always, always read labels! NEVER trust ANY brand name--even if it's within one's whole/health food store. The claims simply don't match the ingredient lists.

And what good is a company that, say, cuts parabens from a product but replaces it with something equally or MORE harmful? Or leaves known carcinogens & other petro-based ingredients?

When are companies going to start producing products that are truly, unquestionably WHOLE-some and leave the toxic ingredients behind altogether? Consumers shouldn't have to study chemistry to know what is going onto and into their bodies!

Nor should they/we be guinea pigs for unstudied genetically modified ingredients, nanoparticles, organophosphates and the resultant mixes thereof and therein mixed with the other chemicals making up the toxic soups many purchase and use as health & beauty products, household cleaning agents and most troublingly, food. It's absolutely disgraceful.
