		<description><![CDATA[It&#039;s a worry. I haven&#039;t considered the impact on the livelihood of beekeeping, and the loss of a generation of training that would accompany a crash in bee populations. Excellent point, Luanne.

As Global Patriot says, perhaps the traditional view of beekeeping as a profession to be looked at in isolation, or even (gnnnnn!) a *hobby*, is deeply inadequate. It&#039;s deeply part of a system, and if it fails, so does the system.

Also, maybe beekeeping needs a new relationship with big business.]]></description>

For all ecosystems it is important for us to study patterns with the resolve to act quickly if it turns out that society is adversely affecting nature.
