Our products have have all been tested, on human volunteers, to be sure that they are not hypoallergenic – – not likely to cause a skin reaction. We even tested them on people with “sensitive skin” with similar results. We did not conduct any animal testing. So, while the standard is not always well defined and some companies do not do what is right to support their claims, others do have proof that their label claims are accurate and “hypoallergenic” is a term with meaning for the consumer. I appreciate the information you provide to us regularly through these postings and genuinely find them helpful. However, please be careful not to paint the entire industry with the same tarred brush when it’s not warranted.
