My daughter has been following the folks at Dancing Rabbit for several years. She lives in a major metropolitan city, She just took me on a short junket up to Missouri to meet the wonderful people at Dancing Rabbit. It was a fascinating concept and the hospitality was genuine and warm. The food all organic and meals made from scratch reminded me what "real" food tastes like. Having my taste buds awakened or reawakened it will be hard to go back to eating all the prepackaged and preserved "stuff" we've been feeding ourselves for the last 30 to 40 years. Fortunately my daughter knows where to find the co-ops and organically grown food sources.
Not everyone would be able to or wish to return to the 'EARTHY" life so completely. However, there is much that can be learned and applied to our lives wherever we live. We can become the stewards of this creation we exist in and upon, thanks to pioneers like Aillene and the residents of Dancing Rabbit and other souls brave enough to live a true life of sustainability and so openly share with anyone interested in learning.
PS. We did eat some great granola but didn't hear any kumbya or see any Birkenstocks. Not that there's anything wrong with that.
