Great post; cutting down the amount of trash we send to landfill is so important and one of my personal passions.

We set ourselves a goal at the beginning of this year - to only have our bin collected from the kerbside once! We last had it emptied in January and are aiming for the end of the year before putting it out again. It's 7/8th full now, and we still have Christmas with a kid to get through!

you share some great tips to help people; I especially love the 'separate your needs from your wants' one as this is the absolute key to success.
Another biggie on the food front is to view today's 'leftovers' as tomorrow's 'ingredients'

I hope you get lots of people joining you!
