I've always hated bumper stickers. I could always rely on a trip to Boulder and seeing all the Subaru's parked around Pearl Street to make me gag.
As I've gotten older, one of those bumper stickers has made a lot of sense and now is sort of my daily mantra.

"Think locally, Act Globally," maybe it's the other way around..

The only way to make a change in who we are and how we act as humans on the planet is to start with ourselves. Make ourselves and our family healthy, be a role model for the neighbor, maybe work to increase awareness in our town about alternative energy, support the local organic farmer by going for the deluxe membership, embrace green affordable housing and increase our recycling.
In this way we green our world slowly, really make it our life and never utter the word trend because it never was....to us.

Green is meaningless. It's just something we use to infer someone gives a f*ck. Is giving a f*ck just a trend? Is morality just a passing phase? Give me a break. That's unthinkable. The people who say these things are in a world of their own.

The tide is rising.

Hey,

It's not "just" a trend, it's a positive trend, imo although it's a powerful business tool today, but it makes some people really care about themselves and it does make people sure that the way they behave affects the outside world aswell as their own.

Here's an article I wrote about green trend, read if you are interested: http://www.yourgenuineidea.com/2008/07/07/how-do-i-get-into-green-trend/

Regards,
