Ha, exactly! I went to school with a girl who modeled for the catalog one season. She was pretty much the thinnest thing on campus and her agent was still pressuring her to lose weight. We couldn't figure out where she'd lose it from! (Neither could she.) Her big indulgence was a whole wheat and veggie sandwich with a little mustard - the whole thing!

Great post! Having worked closely with our sister web and catalog company, VivaTerra, I do have to toot the horn just a tiny bit for catalogs - yes, paper can be a real problem, but catalog companies do bypass the even greater waste of brick and mortar stores (and there are catalogs that use eco-sensitive resources). The best thing to do is shop from catalog companies online, so they get enough business to focus on their web efforts, and both energy-sucking stores *and* paper waste are eliminated. :) I agree though, Catalog Choice is wonderful for eliminating the annoying catalogs you really don't want (how many Victoria's Secrets does a woman need, seriously?).
