It’s great to promote gardening, whatever you call it. I find it amusing that the article positions itself on the idea that men gardening is a new or unusual thing. It is neither, but hey, if the gimmick gets people to garden, go for it.

In Western society, gardening has been largely dominated by women – mostly older women – for decades. Some of my good male friends got their gardening start with their affinity for the less complicated and simpler gardening ideas from the East and I have even volunteered in the past to maintain the Japanese gardens at my local Botanical Gardens.
