		<description><![CDATA[As a devoted localvore, and a vegetarian for 14 years, I recently have made the decision to start eating local, humanely and sustainably raised meat from local farmers that I trust.   I am lucky to live in Vermont, where there are oodles of choices for humane local meat raised without hormones, anti-biotics, or any of the usual horrible techniques of factory farms.  It has been a delight to meet these honest and hardworking farmers at the Montpelier farmers market, and in many cases, be able to visit their farms to see the conditions.  We need to get back to knowing where our food comes from, how it is produced, and how it is slaughtered.]]></description>
