As someone who would consider himself a fun bag connoisseur, I have to weigh in here. For all the ladies– Ladies, what you got, is hot. Insect bites or melons, it doesn’t matter– and here’s why– you don’t want to be bumpin with a boy who has some weird preference about what is the ideal form of a woman’s body. Yes, believe it or not, there are men out there who have transcended the sex programing we’re all subject to. Sir Mix A Lot, was right– ‘So Cosmo, says your fat, well I ain’t down with that.’ Yes, he’s talking about butts, but you get the idea.

Variation on a theme is what makes sex sublime. And sex is like karate. Black belts are better at it than yellow belts. To be good at it, it takes practice–not sheer volume, but attention to detail. And it’s an expression of art.

And I know that I’ve read studies that “prove” that women do look at men’s bodies when considering only the chance to have sex and babies but look at their faces when considering whether to keep a man around long term. I’ve also read that a man’s face is affected by exposure to hormones during key developmental stages so looking at his face may well tell women a lot about a man’s reproductive success.

Of course, if our facial features are effected by our hormones, then not looking at faces when choosing a reproductive partner is poor reproductive strategy.
