I just love hearing your plan and am looking forward to your reading about your progress!!

I too have been looking at the tiny Tumbleweed houses for a couple of months now. Hubby and I currently live in a way-too-big house now that we're empty nesters and much prefer the time that we camp in our 17 ft. fiberglass "Casita." Its then, when we're pared down to just the necessities, that we feel the most happy and free. Looking ahead we can totally see ourselves building a tiny house on our son's land, enjoying being mortgage-free, and then being able to go travel the country in our fiberglass trailer (MUCH lighter weight to pull).

Best wishes to you Stephanie!

Oh good grief, that's awesome. Couldn't love it more. :)

If you've lost your mind, then I think I've just lost my mind as well. Also love how it forces you to declutter and simplify. It's a good thing to do, but when the size of your storage space isn't changing to suit your new habits, it's very tough to maintain. This is much more sensible.

I'll follow this series with great interest. Go Stephanie!

Hey!

I actually heard about these a few years ago and fell in love, too! But I do think I would want something a little bigger. Those things are soooo adorable, though!

Congratulations on your new adventure in life :)

Thanks! I am so excited. I have a friend who lives on a converted school bus coming over tonight and I'm going to bribe him with beer and pizza for advice. It is a huge, huge change but it feels *right*, you know?
