I think I might try it during the rare warm days in San Francisco. Usually the fog prohibits this more wholesome choice for drying. You are right, especially if you consider my dryer’s inability to shut itself off! Thanks, Vanessa, for another great idea.

I’ve just gotten into composting. This is my next habit to start. It won’t be any stranger-looking than the neighbor who waters his flowers in his bathrobe. 😉

What I love about hanging up laundry, and seeing other people’s clothes on the line, is the color. I mean, I certainly don’t snoop into people’s yards and check out their undies, but I do enjoy seeing the colorful pieces of cloth flapping in the wind. They remind me of secular Tibetan prayer flags… Poetry in motion…

It took 10 years of living in an apartment with roof access before it occurred to me that I could hang up my laundry, but I finally started doing it this summer. I love it!

Only problem, it’s not so eco-friendly when I have to re-wash my laundry because I left it out in the rain…

I’m still doing it, though!
